Government of Canada – Indigenous Heritage – Museums Assistance Program

Indigenous Heritage – Museums Assistance Program:

  • The Indigenous Heritage component of the Museums Assistance Program (MAP) provides funding for projects related to the preservation, management, and presentation of Indigenous cultural heritage in Canada.

Short Term Indigenous Art Projects:

  • The Short-Term Projects component of Creating, Knowing and Sharing funds First Nations, Inuit and Métis professional and aspiring artists, cultural carriers, arts/cultural professionals, groups, collectives and arts/culture organizations. Grants provide support for any combination of eligible Creating, Knowing and Sharing activities for projects lasting up to 12 months.

Canada Council for the Arts – Funding for Small Scale Art Activities (Indigenous) – $3,000

Due date to apply: December 3, 2024

Funding for small-scale art activities (Indigenous):

  • The Small-Scale Activities component of Creating, Knowing and Sharing funds activities that will advance your artistic career or practice. This may include acquiring materials for artistic production, engaging in career or artistic development activities or benefitting from specific expertise, advice or training from a professional artist or cultural carrier. This component is open to First Nations, Inuit and Métis individuals, artistic groups, collectives and organizations working in all disciplines.

Government of Manitoba – Innovation Growth Program – $100,000 

Due date to apply: December 15, 2024

Innovation Growth Program:

  • The IGP provides cost-sharing assistance to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to assist them in commercializing new innovative products and processes. The IGP will support SMEs in the development and growth stages of the business life-cycle to reduce the risks associated with the commercialization of innovative products and processes, accelerate growth and strengthen their financial position so they can secure future funding to build their Manitoba-based business.
  • Under the IGP, firms may apply for a non-repayable grant of up to $100,000 per project to cost-share eligible expenses on a 50/50 basis. The IGP approves projects using a competitive process and quarterly intakes. Only the strongest applications that meet the objectives of the program will be considered for funding.

  • The Heritage Grants Program has been developed to assist Manitobans in identifying, protecting and interpreting the province’s human and natural heritage.
