First Peoples Economic Growth Fund

The First Peoples Economic Growth Fund (FPEGF) is an economic development initiative by the Province of Manitoba & The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs. Its mandate is to provide financing to support Manitoba First Nations business proposals that are economically viable.

Louis Riel Capital Corporation

The Louis Riel Capital Corporation (LRCC) is a Manitoba Métis-owned lending institution created to finance the start-up, acquisition and/or expansion of viable Métis and Non-Status Indian controlled small businesses based in Manitoba.

The financial services offered by LRCC include business loans, bridge financing, business plans and business advisory services.

Métis Economic Development Fund

The Métis Economic Development Fund (MEDF) is an equity investment fund intended to stimulate economic development activities of the Métis people throughout Manitoba by providing equity and capital for Métis entrepreneurs and businesses to support economic development initiatives.

MEDF also assists with promoting and encouraging trade and commerce for Métis entrepreneurs and business, facilitating and promoting the Métis business community, and acts as a liaison between the Métis business community, government agencies and representatives at municipal, provincial and federal levels.

Futurpreneur Canada offers financing and mentoring for your start-up business. Futurpreneur Canada supports young entrepreneurs with financing, a business mentor for up to two years, and resources to help you plan, manage and grow your business.

The Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba

The Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba works with women at all stages of their businesses by delivering three core services. They provide one-on- one business advising, business training and financing up to $150,000 to start, expand or purchase an existing business.

Community Futures North Central Development (CFNCD)

Community Futures North Central Development (CFNCD) can assist you in starting your own business by providing business planning assistance and business start-up or expansion loans, loan guarantees or equity participation. Loan programs at CFNCD include: the Business Investment Fund, the Western Youth Entrepreneur Program, CFNCD Micro Loan Program, the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program and the Peer Credit Loan program.

BDC

BDC is the only bank dedicated exclusively to entrepreneurs. Their mandate is to be a complementary lender in the market to other traditional financial institutions.
